AFPI Celebrates First Lady’s ‘Presidential AI Challenge’
Washington, DC – The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) applauds the First Lady, Melania Trump on her “Presidential AI Challenge”. This project will allow K-12 students across the country to learn responsible use of AI while helping educators understand how emerging technologies can assist in their teaching.
"The White House Presidential AI Challenge demonstrates the Trump Administration's leadership in promoting responsible innovation while establishing the prudent guardrails needed to protect the public and uphold our nation’s core values. I am grateful to First Lady Melania Trump for her vision and her commitment to elevating the national conversation around emerging technologies and their impact on American families,” said Erika Donalds, Chair of Education Opportunity and Chair of the AFPI-Florida State Chapter.
“I encourage educators, entrepreneurs, and students across the country to participate in this important initiative and help advance American innovation for the future. The deadline for submissions is January 20, 2026! Your ideas and ingenuity will play a vital role in ensuring the United States continues to lead the world in principled, forward-looking AI development,” continued Donalds.
AI can and must be harnessed for good. This effort will inspire America’s youth to create AI innovations with American values at the forefront, proving that the future of American technology is bright and in good hands.
