America First Mayors’ Council Visits the White House

Washington D.C.—Today, the America First Mayors’ Council had the opportunity to brief White House officials on their efforts to promote and implement America First priorities in their communities.
Mayor Scott Singer, Chair of the America First Mayors’ Council, shared his thoughts: “The importance of this meeting cannot be understated,” he said. “We need local leaders who are committed to America First policies. We know there are mayors and candidates, including in some of our nation’s largest cities, openly championing failed socialist policies that are entirely anti-American. Our Mayors’ Council must showcase that America First policies put citizens first, keep people safe, respect our rights, and inspire economic growth and progress.”
“We are honored to welcome these exceptional mayors to AFPI’s Mayors’ Council,” said Greg Sindelar, President and CEO of the America First Policy Institute (AFPI). “Lasting change doesn’t come from Washington alone. It begins with dedicated local leaders who are committed to improving the lives of the people they serve. By advancing America First policies in communities across the nation, we can build a stronger, safer, and more prosperous future for every American.”
“When cities are led by America Last leaders, our citizens suffer” added Mayor Jondavid “JD” Longo, Chair of AFPI’s Pennsylvania State Chapter and member of the Mayors’ Council. “The America First movement is as important at the local level as it is in the Oval Office. Mayors are charged with the health, happiness and prosperity of our citizens, and promoting America First priorities allows us to provide that to our townships.”
Mayor Longo continued, “I was at the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania when President Trump was shot—only 15 feet away. I witnessed President Trump rise in triumph, and the resounding message I carried away from that experience was that radical liberals will stop at nothing to thwart the America First movement. Whether it’s challenging socialist ideology or stopping political violence, we will fight for our citizens and never tolerate the radical ideologies that put Americans last.”
The America First Mayors’ Council consists of over 45 mayors from across the country. The Council will continue to convene regularly to discuss America First priorities.
