Albert Paulsson
Content Director, America 250 Civics Education Coalition
Albert Paulsson taught Advanced Placement U.S. Government, U.S. History, Civics, and Economics for 27 years in New Jersey and New York City. As a high school teacher, he wrote, instructed, and coordinated district civics programs and prepared students for the state and national We the People competitions. He also organized and led an annual 5-day program for approximately 150 high school juniors to Washington, D.C. With a focus on service to one's country. For his work inside and outside of the classroom, Mr. Paulsson was awarded High School Teacher of the Year by the American Lawyers Alliance. He received the Outstanding Educator Award from the University of Chicago. In addition, he has developed curricula for many organizations, including FIRE (Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression), The Woodson Center, and The Mill Center at UATX. Mr. Paulsson currently serves on the Founding Board for Garden State Classical Academy. He completed his undergraduate and graduate training at The College of New Jersey, is married, and is the father of 3 children.
