Melanie Wilcox serves as Director of Communications at AFPI. She has over a decade of experience assisting local and national political leaders and corporate executives effectively convey their messages.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Melanie led language strategy initiatives across the private and public sectors, developing messaging frameworks utilized in national campaigns, executive speeches, and crisis communications. She has moderated many focus groups across the country and brings deep expertise in turning research insights into effective storytelling. She believes that in communications, words don’t just matter—they're everything.
Her writing has appeared in The Daily Caller, American Greatness, The Daily Signal, and Campus Reform.
Melanie earned a Master of Arts in Business Journalism from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Public Policy from Dartmouth College. While a student at Dartmouth, she was a Division I track and cross-country athlete and an editor at The Dartmouth Review. Melanie grew up in Dallas, Texas where she attended Ursuline Academy. She now resides in Virginia and is an active member of her church. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, running, playing the piano and hiking with her Bernese Mountain Dog.
