AFPI on the Confirmed Killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei 

Washington, D.C.—The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) released the following statement in response to the confirmed killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in today’s joint military operations:

“Ayatollah Khamenei has led the destructive terror regime that is the Islamic Republic of Iran since he took over the mantle following the death of its founder, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, in 1989. It was on his direction that the regime – both directly and through its proxies – killed and threatened thousands of Americans, as well as generations of brave Iranians trying to live their lives in freedom. His elimination unquestionably represents the start of a new chapter of security for the American people, peace for the region and the world, and the opportunity the Iranian people have for so long waited to finally shape their country’s destiny.”
