Minnesota Nice? Not for Women: Title IX Protections Undermined
Washington, D.C.— Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) released the following joint statement from Minnesota state chapter Chair, Ryan Wilson, and Stacey Schieffelin, Chair of America First Women’s Initiative in response to the Minnesota Supreme Court’s decision to undermine the Title IX protections for women and girls:
“This morning, the Minnesota Supreme Court ruled that protecting women and girls from men competing on their sports teams now constitutes discrimination.
This ruling marks a significant regression, undoing the work that women’s rights and Title IX advocates have long fought for. It disregards decades of protections that ensured girls can compete and thrive in spaces designed especially for them. It dismantles fairness, denies biological truth, and erases the very meaning of women’s sports.
The America First Women’s Initiative and AFPI–Minnesota will stand firmly to defend women and preserve fairness in their sports. These women deserve leaders who protect them, and not radical ideology.
We call on parents, coaches, and policymakers across Minnesota to stand up and defend our daughters. Protect Title IX. Protect fairness. Protect truth. Because women’s sports belong to women, and no court or politician can rewrite that reality.”
