Nicholas Wanic
Associate Attorney, Litigation
I have only one yardstick by which I test every major problem, and that yardstick is: Is it good for America?
- Dwight D. Eisenhower
Nicholas Wanic is from suburban Chicago and serves as Associate Attorney for Litigation. During his career, Wanic has handled cases across numerous areas of law from business and contractual disputes to high-net-worth divorces and civil rights cases. He is an experienced litigator who has tried dozens of cases and numerous appeals. Before joining AFPI, Wanic served as an Assistant City Attorney in Milwaukee where he prosecuted numerous cases and advised city officials on a broad range of regulations and administrative policies. He also spent a few years in private practice where he focused on municipal legal issues, civil rights claims, and appeals. Wanic most recently worked for one DC’s largest government affairs firms where he specialized in transportation, communications, infrastructure, and technology policy as a member of the firm’s state and local practice team. While attending Marquette Law School, he worked for then-Chief Justice Patience Roggensack of the Wisconsin Supreme Court and Presiding Judge Joan F. Kessler of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. At AFPI, Wanic focuses on civil rights and election law litigation. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, painting, golfing, and traveling to attend live sporting events in support of his moribund hometown sports franchises.
