Rose Laoutaris
Policy Analyst, Education Opportunity
Rose Laoutaris serves as a Policy Analyst for Education Opportunity at the America First Policy Institute, working to expand education freedom and return power to the states. Before joining AFPI, Rose was the Policy Manager and Manager of the Center to Protect Free Speech at the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), focusing largely on protecting free speech across America's high school and college campuses.
Originally from New Jersey, Rose moved to the Washington, D.C. area to attend American University, where she earned both her Master of Public Policy and Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government (CLEG). While in college, she interned at several think tanks, including the American Enterprise Institute, The Heritage Foundation, and the American Action Forum, as well as on Capitol Hill and in private sector government relations.
Rose now lives in Alexandria, Virginia, and in her free time enjoys going for walks around the DMV, spending time with friends, and taking spin classes.
