Development Coordinator
Overall Responsibility:
The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) is seeking a Development Coordinator who will serve as a key member of the AFPI Development team and
be responsible for assisting with a portion of AFPI’s Donor Communication and Stewardship portfolio.
Reports to: Senior Director of Development
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Serve as the Development team lead on organizing and facilitating headquarters-based donor mailings
- Coordinate the day-to-day functions of the Development team’s annual donor communications and stewardship plans and facilitate products through established approval processes
- Coordinate the gift acknowledgement process
- Prepare and maintain materials for donor and prospect engagement
- Execute preparation and timely follow-up for development events including special digital invitations and materials where appropriate
- In partnership with the Portfolio Manager team, manage a best-in-class stewardship program to recognize and engage existing and prospective investors
- Clearly champion AFPI’s servant leadership culture
- Effectively advocate for AFPI’s principles and recommendations in public settings
- Document all individualized donor communication and stewardship activity using the organization’s CRM
- Provide updates and reports to senior leadership on activity, results, and upcoming opportunities
- Partner with the Senior Director of Development to ensure current and prospective AFPI investors progress through the major gift revenue pipeline
- Assist the Investor Relations team by serving as a point of contact for major investors at AFPI events and engagements and coordinate event planning, execution, and follow-up when needed
