Student Toolkit: Are You Facing Viewpoint Discrimination?
The America First Policy Institute designed this toolkit to help students who are facing viewpoint discrimination on campus. If you are involved in creating a new student organization on campus, or you believe your existing organization is being denied privileges or treated unfairly, this toolkit is for you!
The First Amendment protects your right to freedom of expression, if your School or University is treating your organization unfairly because of political or religious content they may be in violation of the law. In the following resource, we have included a description of your rights, examples of what may be violations, tips and tricks for engaging with school administrators, and letter templates that can be adapted to your circumstances.
