AFPI Applauds Protection of Responsible Minnesota Mining

Washington, D.C.—Jason Hayes, Director of Energy and Environment, and Ted Ellis, Deputy Director of Energy and Environment and Campaign Director of Power America at the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) released the following statement:

“AFPI applauds the actions taken by the Minnesota House to halt an arbitrary and harmful Biden Administration ban on mining in Minnesota.

While mining operations in other nations often ignore fundamental human rights and environmental protections, American mining companies operate under some of the strictest labor, safety, and environmental standards in the world.

This is a crucial step to encourage responsible domestic mining. Producing essential metals and minerals here at home is better for the environment, supports American workers, strengthens our economy, and enhances national security by reducing reliance on foreign adversaries.”
