AFPI Appoints Jessica Hart Steinmann as Vice Chair of the America First Women’s Initiative

Stacey Schieffelin, Chair of the America First Women’s Initiative (AFWI), is proud to announce the appointment of Jessica Hart Steinmann as Vice Chair of AFWI, where she will help lead the initiative’s efforts to advance policies grounded in Transparency, Revitalization and Reaffirmation, Unity, Trust, and Health (TRUTH).

“Jessica is a fearless advocate for women and girls across America,” said Schieffelin. “From courtroom battles to cultural conversations, she has emerged as one of the boldest defenders of Title IX in the country, protecting fairness in sports and the First Amendment rights of young women. Her leadership will be a tremendous force for good as we grow this movement.”

As Executive General Counsel and Vice Chair of Litigation for the America First Policy Institute, Steinmann is leading landmark federal lawsuits defending the rights of female athletes. In recent months, she filed a Title IX challenge against the Oregon Department of Education for forcing girls to compete against males in K–12 sports, and a First Amendment lawsuit defending two Oregon student-athletes who were punished for silently protesting the presence of biological males on the girls’ podium.

“It is an honor to serve as Vice Chair of the America First Women’s Initiative,” said Steinmann. “No girl should lose her place on the podium or her voice in the classroom just for standing up for truth. This Initiative is about reclaiming what every woman deserves: dignity in her identity, opportunity to rise, and equal protection under the law. I’m proud to join Stacey in this mission.”

Steinmann resides in Montgomery County, Texas, with her husband and sons, and continues to be a leading voice in the America First movement.
