AFPI Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month and the American Dream Comeback

Bob Unanue September 15, 2026

Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) issued the following statement from Bob Unanue, Chair of the Hispanic Leadership Coalition (HLC):

“As we begin Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate the generations of Hispanic Americans whose faith, hard work, sacrifice, and family values have strengthened our great Nation in pursuit of the American Dream. For Hispanic American families, that American Dream has always been about the freedom to work hard, raise a family in a safe community, own a home, give our children a better future, and know that opportunity is within reach,” said Bob Unanue, AFPI’s Hispanic Leadership Coalition Chair. “Today, under President Trump, families are seeing safer communities, fewer drugs reaching our streets, lower healthcare costs, and greater economic opportunity for workers, entrepreneurs, and small businesses. These are the issues that touch kitchen tables of Hispanic American families every single day. This month and every month, we give thanks for the country we call home and recommit ourselves to building an even stronger America for those who come after us.”

HLC continues advancing its mission to educate, engage, and empower Hispanic Americans while advancing America First policy solutions that promote economic prosperity, educational opportunity, and a strong national culture.
