AFPI Commemorates Purple Heart Day by Honoring Those Who Defend America

WASHINGTON, D.C.— The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) proudly commemorates Purple Heart Day by honoring the brave American service members who have been wounded or killed in defense of our Nation. The Purple Heart stands as a solemn reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of those who have borne the physical wounds of war, including the American servicemembers who made the ultimate sacrifice during recent operations against Iran. Their service reflects the enduring commitment of the men and women who stand on the front lines to defend our freedoms and protect the American people.

“The Purple Heart serves as a solemn reminder that the freedoms Americans enjoy are protected by the courage and sacrifice of those willing to put their lives on the line,” said Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Keith Kellogg. “From past conflicts to recent operations against Iran, our service members have answered the call to defend our Nation, and we owe them more than our gratitude; we owe them a commitment to ensuring they receive the world-class care and support they deserve. We must continue strengthening the Department of Veterans Affairs so every wounded warrior receives the quality care, resources, and support necessary to heal, rebuild, and thrive after service.”

On Purple Heart Day, AFPI joins Americans across the country in honoring our wounded warriors, fallen heroes, and their families. We remain committed to ensuring every veteran receives the respect, care, and support they deserve.
