AFPI: Eleven Months of America First Leadership Have Put the American Dream Back in Reach

Washington, D.C. - The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) released the following statement in response to President Trump's address to the nation, in which he discussed the wins of the past eleven months and the future of our nation’s growing economy:

“When President Trump was re-elected and returned power to the American people, he exposed the true scale of the fundamental issues caused by the Biden Administration and proved that another, better future was possible. But to achieve that future, we had to first restore our most basic securities – our border, the safety of our communities, and the ability to afford, build, and care for our families. By securing the border, restoring fair trade, and cutting massive government waste, President Trump laid the groundwork for real, lasting economic growth,” said Greg Sindelar, AFPI Interim President and CEO

Sindelar continued, “Though Biden’s years of mismanagement could not be undone overnight, the signs of renewal are unmistakable, and the American people are feeling the benefits of America First leadership. In just eleven months, 38 states are seeing average gas prices under $3 per gallon. The cost of healthcare is dropping, and patients finally have the transparency they deserve. Jobs are returning from overseas and American factories are booming once again. The border is secure, and our cities are safer.

With countless additional benefits coming to fruition in 2026 thanks to the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill, Americans can be confident that the failures of the past are behind us and that the American Dream is once again within reach.”
