AFPI: Father’s Day Should Honor Fathers, Not Pride Activism
Washington, DC — The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) today released the following statement from Jack Brewer, Chair of Opportunity Now and Vice-Chair of 1776, affirming the importance of fathers and strong families and condemning the vulgar display of Pride activities that took place on Pennsylvania Avenue on Father’s Day:
“Father’s Day is a time to honor the men who sacrifice for their families, lead their homes, and help build strong communities. Instead, one of America’s most historic streets, America’s Main Street, was turned into a celebration that overshadowed Father’s Day and elevated values that undermine God’s design for the family. At a time when America is facing a fatherlessness crisis affecting millions of children, we should be celebrating fathers and calling more men to step up, not promoting messages that weaken the very institution children need most. Strong fathers build strong families, strong communities, and a strong nation.”
