AFPI Honors Our Fallen Warriors and the Republic for Which They Died

Washington, DC — The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) released the following statement from Mike Garcia, U.S. Navy combat veteran and Chair of AFPI California, in honor of Memorial Day: 

"On this sacred and somber day, Americans come together to reaffirm our national unity and civic responsibility, but most importantly to honor the men and women who have given their lives in defense of our most fundamental freedoms. Often on lands far away from home, men and women gave their last breath in sacrifice, love, and honor for this country. The magnitude of their actions and sacrifice should be amplified through our own commitment to the founding values of this great nation. We must ask ourselves: are we willing to go as far as is necessary to ensure all Americans live in safety, freedom, and prosperity? At the America First Policy Institute, we believe this day is a reminder that peace is achieved through strength, sacrifice, and the principles imbued by our nation’s warriors who gave everything to ensure the republic lives on."
