AFPI MN Backs Vice President Vance’s Fraud Referral, Calls for Full Accountability
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Zach Freimark, Executive Director of the America First Policy Institute's (AFPI) Minnesota chapter, released the following statement after Vice President J.D. Vance referred Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison to the Department of Justice for a criminal investigation into fraud in the state's federally funded social services programs:
"For years, Minnesotans have watched their tax dollars vanish into one fraud scandal after another. The question was never whether the fraud was happening — it was why the people elected to stop it did not. Vice President Vance is right to demand answers, and no governor or attorney general is above the law.
Every dollar lost to fraud is a dollar stolen from a Minnesotan who needed it. AFPI Minnesota strongly supports the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud and stands with the people of this state in demanding accountability from those entrusted with positions of public service."
