AFPI: Senate Liberals Have Failed America’s Female Athletes

Washington, DC – The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) issued the following statement after Senate liberals failed to advance commonsense measures to protect women and girls sports:

Frank Murphy, former NFL player and Chair of Athletes for America Coalition, said:

“Leaders have a duty to protect women and girls. As fathers, and as a country that knows our rights come from God, not government, we should never be afraid to stand up for what is right. This vote went against fairness, against safety, and against the very purpose of Title IX – equal opportunity for women. We must do better for America’s daughters.”

Riley Gaines, NCAA All-American swimmer and Vice Chair of Athletes for America Coalition, added:

“Liberals in Congress have once again chosen radical gender ideology over protecting America’s women and girls. Female athletes are losing medals, scholarships, and even suffering lifelong injuries because politicians won’t do what’s right. This is not equality, it’s discrimination, and we will not stop fighting until women’s sports are protected.”

The fight is far from over. The America First Policy Institute will continue advocating to uphold safety, fairness, and keep men out of in women’s sports.
