AFPI’s Brett Tolman Condemns the Irresponsible Actions of Former FBI Director James Comey

Washington D.C.— Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) issued the following statement from Brett Tolman, Chair of the Weaponization Initiative, regarding the recent social media post made by former FBI Director James Comey:

“Words cannot describe how despicable it is to see someone of James Comey’s stature post what can only be construed as a direct call for violence against our duly elected President, Donald J. Trump. This incident emphasizes what we at AFPI have been warning the American people of for years: when government officials are willing to compromise the rule of law to target and demonize their political opponents, the result is not just the erosion of our justice system, but the perpetuation of chaos and violence in our country.

This conduct must be condemned, and deterrence of future violence will only occur if zero tolerance is enforced.”
