AFPI’s New Jersey Chapter Supports Alina Habba
TRENTON, N.J. - The leadership of New Jersey’s state chapter of the America First Policy Institute (AFPI-NJ) issued the following statement following the rejection of Alina Habba by the state’s federal judiciary and the firing of Desiree Grace by the Department of Justice (DOJ):
“Alina Habba has done a fantastic job prioritizing what New Jersey politicians rarely do: protecting the residents of New Jersey from transnational criminal gangs, dangerous illegal aliens, and corrupt public officials,” said Chair of AFPI-NJ Michael J. Donohue. “‘America First’ fundamentally means placing duty above politics. President Trump recognizes that, and his excellent choice of U.S. Attorney should be honored.”
“Unelected judges may believe they are above the law, but the reality is that they do not have the authority to ignore Article II of the United States Constitution,” added AFPI-NJ Executive Director Matt Rooney. “Elections should have consequences. Alina Habba is the president’s choice to protect and defend a state close to his heart. The Constitution is firmly on his side.”
America First Policy Institute (AFPI), the nation’s leading voice for America First policies, founded a New Jersey chapter (AFPI-NJ) earlier this year with former New Jersey Superior Court Judge Michael J. Donohue as chair and attorney Matthew T. Rooney as executive director. Rooney is also a radio host and owner of Save Jersey, the state’s leading conservative media outlet. Donohue serves as chair of CapeGOP and is a former State Assembly candidate.
