As Healthcare Affordability Tops Voter Concerns, AFPI Releases Healthcare Policy Series Focused on Returning Healthcare Dollars to Americans

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI), released a series of five policy papers explaining how the policies in the President’s Great Healthcare Plan will return choice to Americans when it comes to their healthcare dollars. The policy series, titled “It’s Your Money: Making Your Health Dollar Work For You, The Patient,” unpacks the proposals from President Trump’s Great Healthcare Plan and how they will empower patients with greater control over their healthcare dollars, expand innovative care options, improve price transparency, and reduce barriers that drive up costs.

The series was unveiled at a Capitol Hill press conference by AFPI’s Senior Director of Healthy America Policy, Hannah Anderson, where she was joined by other leading healthcare policy experts, stakeholders from across the healthcare community, and members of Congress.

“With 79% of Americans saying the healthcare system is in crisis, it’s clear families are feeling the pressure of rising costs and limited options,” said Governor Bobby Jindal, AFPI Chair of Healthy America. “Patients deserve a system that lowers costs, expands choice, provides genuine price transparency, and gives them real control over their healthcare decisions, not one-size-fits-all policies that limit access and increase expenses.”

AFPI is proud to advance policy solutions that will let patients take back their health, end freeloading, and give them control of their health care dollars. The Great Healthcare Plan allows patients to do that, stated Anderson.

With healthcare affordability consistently ranking among Americans’ top concerns, AFPI remains committed to producing research and advancing policies that lower costs, increase choice, and improve health outcomes.
