Chad Wolf joined America Reports on Fox News to discuss the latest on the border.
Chad Wolf, former Acting Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security and current Executive Director at the America First Policy Institute appeared on Fox News's America Reports to address the latest developments on the U.S. border. Wolf criticized the Biden administration's parole program, which grants migrants advanced travel authorization, allowing them to bypass traditional ports of entry along the Southwest border.
Wolf explained that under this program, migrants are flown directly into the United States from originating airports outside the country. In 2023 alone, approximately 357,000 migrants entered the U.S. through this method. Concurrently, nearly three million migrants crossed the land border, exacerbating the immigration crisis.
Wolf highlighted that this parole program is being "badly abused" and is unlawful. He pointed out that the misuse of this program was a key factor in House Republicans' decision to impeach Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas. The individuals entering through this program are not applying for asylum but are being paroled for two years with immediate work authorization. This creates a precarious situation, as they risk falling out of status unless their parole is renewed.
The conversation underscored the urgent need for reforms and stricter enforcement of immigration laws to address the ongoing border crisis effectively.
