Chad Wolf joined Varney on Fox Business to discuss the anti-Israel protests on college campuses.

June 19, 2024

Chad Wolf recently joined Stuart Varney on Fox Business to discuss the surge of anti-Israel protests sweeping across college campuses. These protests have led to significant confrontations with law enforcement, including numerous arrests and the dismantling of protest camps. At the University of Washington and Wisconsin, police removed several tents, only to see students promptly erect new ones. Conversely, at the University of Minnesota, students agreed to take down their tents after the university disclosed its stockholdings and considered divesting from companies doing business in Israel.

Wolf emphasized the growing radicalization of students influenced by progressive and woke policies taught at universities. He pointed out that this radicalization transcends liberalism, leading to violent behaviors such as property destruction and barricades, which starkly contrasts with peaceful protesting. Wolf expressed concern over the trend, warning that it risks growing if not adequately addressed.

The issue is further complicated by the U.S. administration's consideration of resettling Palestinian refugees from Gaza. Wolf argued that this move could exacerbate security concerns, given the existing pressures on the southern border, which has already seen millions of illegal crossings and related criminal activities. He advocated for collaborating with allies to resettle refugees closer to their home countries.

As these incidents continue, the broader implications for national security and community safety remain a pressing concern, emphasizing the need for stringent policies and community engagement to curb the tide of radicalization on campuses.
