Faith Leaders & Policy Advocates Gathered in Pennsylvania to Advance Biblical Citizenship, Religious Liberty, and Community Engagement
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania — This week, AFPI was proud to participate in a three-day faith engagement tour focused on strengthening church-community relationships and encouraging biblical citizenship in the public square. AFPI participants included:
- J.D. Longo, Chair of AFPI Pennsylvania
- Mary Stiffler, Executive Director of AFPI Pennsylvania
- Dr. Daniel Trippie, Director for Faith Engagement
The tour consisted of a religious liberty roundtable, the Pennsylvania Legislative Prayer Breakfast, Bucks County Pastor & Church Leader Day at the Capitol, and conversations with faith and community leaders about workforce development and the role of the church in public life.
“This is a valuable opportunity to connect biblical principles with practical public engagement,” said JD Longo. “We’re building relationships that can help pastors, legislators, and community leaders work together for the good of Pennsylvania.”
This visit builds upon AFPI’s ongoing coalition work to expand faith engagement, deepen relationships with pastors and legislators, and advance conversations around religious liberty, family strength, and the role of faith in renewing communities.
Through our Biblical Foundations initiative, AFPI seeks to equip pastors, churches, and people of faith with biblically grounded language and resources to engage public policy and community life with clarity and purpose.
AFPI-Pennsylvania remains committed to advancing policy solutions that strengthen families, protect liberty, and empower Pennsylvanians to thrive.
