New Jersey Empowers Dangerous Criminals with New ICE Ban

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) does the selfless work of arresting and deporting illegal aliens—most of whom are guilty of violent offenses—under the constant threat and obstruction of radical leftists. Meanwhile, Governor Mikie Sherrill of New Jersey is making their job harder and adding to the undignified belligerence of anti-ICE demonstrators.

Ignoring the fact that 54% of voters favor the Trump Administration’s efforts to deport illegal aliens, she is banning ICE from gathering on state land for operations or sending agents to “non-public” areas without a warrant. She’s also creating a portal to share footage of ICE agents carrying out their lawful duties, encouraging doxxing of law enforcement as they work to remove dangerous criminals from our communities.

None of these actions make the public safer—it will only make the difficult job of ICE agents harder and subject them to increased risk. Whether her actions will withstand judicial scrutiny is up for debate, but these actions defy common sense and should be overturned.
