Radicals Put Illegal Aliens Ahead of Disabled Americans

Washington, D.C.—Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) issued the following statement from Hannah Anderson, Director of Healthy America and Senior Director of Policy, regarding the ongoing government shutdown: 

“Radicals in Congress are trying to put illegal aliens ahead of disabled Americans—the very population Medicaid was originally designed to protect. Their America Last spending proposal would reverse bipartisan reforms under the Working Families Tax Cuts that allowed disabled individuals to receive Medicaid support to stay in their homes longer.

This isn’t just a policy choice—it’s a betrayal of America's most vulnerable citizens. Liberals in Congress must put disabled citizens first, preserve the pro-patient reforms already in place, and stop diverting taxpayer dollars to fund healthcare for illegal immigrants.”
