Supply Chains at Risk While Radicals Demand Healthcare for Illegal Aliens
Washington, D.C.—Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) issued the following statement from Jill Homan, Deputy Director, Trade & Economy Policy, and Campaign Director, regarding the ongoing government shutdown:
“The government shutdown is putting America’s supply chains at risk. Ports, freight inspections, and logistics operations are slowed or halted because essential federal workers are working without pay. Businesses waiting for shipments face delays that ripple across industries, impacting everything from manufacturing to retail.
All of this is occurring while radicals in Congress insist on reopening the government only if taxpayer-funded healthcare for illegal aliens is included. American businesses and workers shouldn’t be held hostage to partisan agendas or benefits for those who broke our laws.
Congress needs to restore government operations, protect critical supply chains, and ensure that Americans—workers, families, and small businesses—are prioritized over radicals’ political stunts.”
