Texas Implements AI For Accountability & Transparency
WASHINGTON, D.C.— Governor Greg Abbott’s Texas Regulatory Efficiency Office (TREO) just launched a new AI-integrated website to help Texans easily access and navigate state rules and regulations. This innovative platform aims to save Texans significant time and energy, ensuring ideal customer service for Texas taxpayers.
“As a Texan, I applaud Governor Abbott and TREO for harnessing the power of emerging technology to make government more efficient and to ensure government is working for the people of Texas,” said Greg Sindelar, president and chief executive officer of the America First Policy Institute (AFPI).
Artificial intelligence is an incredible tool that allows citizens to access in seconds what previously took hours or days. In addition to streamlining permitting and licensing, the new TREO website provides clear information on in-demand, high-paying careers available across Texas.
“Artificial intelligence holds immense promise to reduce bureaucratic bloat and improve efficiency,” added Yusuf Mahmood, director for AI and Emerging Technology at AFPI. “Efforts like the TREO are vital for responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars and show Americans that the America First agenda truly serves them directly.”
AFPI applauds the Texas government’s efforts to leverage AI for the benefit of its citizens. Read more of AFPI’s research on AI here.
