Freedom is a need of the soul, and nothing else. It is in striving toward God that the soul strives continually after a condition of freedom. God alone is the inciter and guarantor of freedom. He is the only guarantor. External freedom is only an aspect of interior freedom. Political freedom, as the western world has known it, is only a political reading of the Bible.

Amy serves the AFPI mission as Deputy Director of Institutional Giving and Donor Communications through grant writing and reporting, and donor stewardship. She brings decades of experience honed in The Heritage Foundation, the Media Research Center, New York-Presbyterian Hospital, and, most recently, Catholic Charities USA. Although not a native of Northern Virginia, she has spent most of her life in the region. A mother to five adult children and grandmother to five, she enjoys cooking, writing poetry, gardening, and raising backyard chickens.
