Austin Ferrer
Policy Coordinator; Copy Editor
Austin Ferrer serves as a policy coordinator and copy editor at AFPI, overseeing the vetting, clearance, and production of policy products while ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency across all written materials.
During President Trump’s first term, Ferrer served in the White House for four years, including as assistant staff secretary in the Office of the Staff Secretary, where he coordinated the policy, legal, and political vetting of materials to and from the president. He later served as special assistant to the president for Oval Office Operations, supporting day-to-day functions and traveling as the president’s personal aide.
Earlier, Ferrer worked in the White House Office of Presidential Correspondence and served as a parliamentary aide in the United Kingdom Parliament. A native Spanish speaker, Ferrer earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from Samford University, where he competed on the tennis team. He lives in Florida with his wife and daughter.
