Helen Hubert serves as senior manager for the Educator Excellence Initiative and Rural Education Innovation at AFPI, where she focuses on policy and practice that support educators and expand opportunities for students in rural communities.

Hubert has more than 25 years of experience serving Texas students, families, and school communities. After graduating from Texas A&M University, she went on to work across more than five districts as a classroom teacher, special education teacher, assistant principal, and principal. In her leadership roles, she guided campuses to academic growth and high ratings.
