Jefferson Hale serves as an Engineer for the Office for Fiscal and Regulatory Analysis. From small-town Maine, where he grew up, to the big cities of Southern California, Jefferson brings 20 years of software engineering expertise to AFPI. With a career spanning Android app development at Move Inc., eBay, DirecTV & Disney, he has implemented software, server, satellite, and cloud solutions used by millions and quoted in the O’Reilly book Seeking SRE, which is recommended reading for anyone looking to enhance DevOps knowledge. He has always been a fan of data-based decisions. Now he is digging into AI for data processing with a focus on what can help craft effective policies. In his free time, he hikes, does jiu jitsu, plays softball (3rd base!) & plays with his two dogs.
