Knox Williams serves as a contractor and senior fellow for American Justice Policy at AFPI. In 2011, Williams formed the American Suppressor Association (ASA), a nonprofit dedicated to firearm suppressor advocacy and education. Throughout his tenure as ASA’s executive director, he has played a pivotal role in the enactment of dozens of pro-suppressor laws across the country, the elimination of the $200 transfer tax on suppressors, and the dramatic reduction in wait times for items regulated under the National Firearms Act. In 2025, Williams was elected to the National Rifle Association’s Board of Directors, where he currently serves as its youngest member. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history. Go Dawgs!
