Laura Cunliffe
Senior Director of Policy

Laura Cunliffe serves as AFPI's Senior Director of Policy. In this role, Cunliffe is responsible for overseeing the strategic development of AFPI's policy goals and research. Before joining AFPI, Cunliffe was a Senior Fellow at the Independent Women's Forum and Executive Director and Vice President of Policy at Family Watch International, an international education organization promoting the importance of the family in the U.S. and abroad. During the first Trump Administration, Cunliffe served as Chief of Staff at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in Geneva, in senior policy roles at the Office of Management and Budget, and at the Domestic Policy Council. Earlier in her career, she spent six years as a civil servant in the U.S. Departments of Agriculture and Education and as a public school teacher with Charlotte-Mecklenberg Schools. Cunliffe has a BA in English from Wheaton College in Illinois and holds a JD from Samford University, Cumberland School of Law. She lives with her amazing husband and three beautiful children in her home state of New Jersey.
