The Health & Harvest campaign empowers families to choose the healthcare they need and farmers to produce the healthy foods and agricultural products that keep us nourished and clothed. Our policies are created to restore thriving rural communities and address the chronic disease and healthcare affordability epidemics.
Focus Areas / Policy Pillars
- Healthcare Affordability – Shifting the focus from government programs and insurance gatekeeping to affordability of care and reduction of middlemen.
- Responsible Nutrition – Ensuring our food supply is safe and transparent, allowing taxpayer dollars to fund healthy nutrition and not junk foods.
- Rural Prosperity - Restoring the economic viability of the family farm and the success of rural communities.
- American Farmers First – Ensuring American agriculture serves American interests by feeding our people and protecting against foreign interference.
Healthy America
Healthy America works to create policies that give all Americans full agency in decisions that affect their health and well-being. Decisions about what, how, and where care is received should be made by patients and doctors, not by politicians, bureaucrats, and medical industry. AFPI’s healthcare policies put the patient and doctor in control, dignify life, promote better health and medical outcomes, improve access, and lower costs for Americans.
Farmers First Agenda
The Farmers First Agenda is committed to bold policy solutions, restoring rural prosperity and strengthening America’s agricultural leadership. From the fisheries of the Bayou to the corn fields of the heartland, AFPI is supporting state and local leaders as they seek to revitalize communities across their states.
China Policy Initiative
For decades, D.C. insiders and Wall Street elites perpetuated the lie that American engagement with Communist China would cause that nation to open, to liberalize, and to reform. Even as evidence accumulated to the contrary, some benefitted from this deception, continuing to profit off of China at the expense of America’s stature and America’s workers. AFPI advances policies that confront an existential rival to our Nation and our livelihood.
