AFPI Commends House Passage of the FY2027 National Defense Authorization Act

WASHINGTON, D.C.The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) released the following statement in response to the House of Representatives passing the fiscal year 2027 National Defense Authorization Act:

The House of Representatives has sent a clear message: America’s warfighters come first. The passage of the FY2027 NDAA, authorizing a historic $1.15 trillion defense budget, strengthening America’s defense industrial base, and increasing active-duty force size, reflects exactly the kind of peace-through-strength commitment our military deserves. Courageous men and women put their lives on the line for this Nation, and Congress is right to ensure they have the resources, the compensation, and the readiness to do their jobs.

“From strengthening America’s defense industrial base to improving quality of life for service members and their families and building a stronger, more capable fighting force, the FY2027 NDAA advances the America First principle that every dollar invested in national defense must deliver real security for the American people. A strong defense industrial base ensures our warfighters have the equipment, capabilities, and support needed to meet the threats of today and tomorrow. We commend the House for standing with our warfighters when it mattered most, and we urge the Senate to follow suit without delay,” said Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Keith Kellogg, AFPI Co‑Chair for American Security.
