AFPI’s Ken Blackwell Submits Comment to OMB on Proposed Election Rulemaking
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, the America First Policy Institute’s J. Kenneth Blackwell, chair for Election Integrity, submitted a public comment to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on a proposed rule which would ensure that federal funds are not used to support partisan election-related activities.
“We have seen federal funds be used for targeted, partisan electioneering efforts at both the state and federal level,” said Blackwell. “I applaud this new effort from OMB to improve oversight of federal dollars—these funds must be protected from waste, fraud, and abuse. Americans deserve to know that their tax dollars aren’t being used to subsidize political activity.”
