AFPI Names Billy Atwell as its First Chief Marketing Officer

Washington D.C.— The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) is proud to announce the appointment of Billy Atwell as its first Chief Marketing Officer. Atwell brings 14 years of executive-level experience in strategic communications, issue-based marketing, and brand development, with a record of advancing mission-driven organizations of various sizes.

Prior to joining AFPI, Atwell served in senior leadership roles in nonprofit, advocacy-focused organizations, including as Senior Vice President of Communications at Alliance Defending Freedom, a leading conservative litigation and public policy organization. Prior to that he served as a communications executive and strategic advisor to the bishop for three Catholic dioceses. His work has consistently focused on helping values-based organizations grow their footprint, engage varying audiences, and drive measurable impact.

In his new role, Atwell will lead AFPI’s marketing efforts in developing and executing a comprehensive brand strategy and vision that amplifies the AFPI’s mission, sharpens its public presence, and ensures long-term strategic alignment across its policy campaigns.
