AFPI Responds to Israel’s Targeted Strikes Against Iran
Washington D.C.— Sixty-two days ago, President Donald J. Trump gave the Islamic Republic of Iran sixty days to negotiate a deal to address its nuclear program. The President committed America to achieving a settlement and did so in good faith.
Iran used that sixty days — and thereby abused American good faith and sincere efforts — to move rapidly toward the assembly and fielding of a nuclear weapon. In doing so, it took advantage of the head start afforded it by the Biden-Harris regime, which stood idly by as it enriched uranium to the threshold of weapons grade and amassed enough materiel for several bombs.
All this culminated in the events of the past twenty-four hours, in which the State of Israel — rightly perceiving an intolerable threat to its existence — struck directly at the Iranian nuclear program, its military leadership, and its warmaking apparatus.
The America First Policy Institute joins the President of the United States in affirming that Iran—a longtime promulgator of terror against Israel, the rest of the civilized world, and even its own people—cannot, under any circumstances, obtain a nuclear weapon.
Let us pray for the safety of all U.S. airmen and sailors engaged in the Middle East, as well as our allies.
