AFPI Statement on Governor Kemp’s Education Tax Credit Announcement
Washington, D.C.—Today, Rebecca Yardley, Executive Director of America First Georgia at the America First Policy Institute (AFPI), issued the following statement about Governor Brian Kemp announcing Georgia’s participation in the new federal tax credit scholarship program created by the One Big Beautiful Bill:
“The America First Policy Institute applauds Governor Brian Kemp for opting Georgia into the historic federal education tax credit created by the One Big Beautiful Bill. This first-of-its-kind federal program empowers families, encourages private investment in education, and expands opportunity for students, especially those who need it most.
By opting into this program, Georgia is taking a decisive step to put parents first and give families greater flexibility to choose the educational options that best meet their children’s needs. AFPI has long championed policies that expand educational freedom and ensure that every child has access to a high-quality education. Governor Kemp’s leadership reflects those principles, and we look forward to working to ensure this program delivers meaningful results for Georgia families.”
