General Kellogg joined Varney on Fox Business to discuss Middle East tensions.
Retired Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg recently appeared on Fox Business with Stuart Varney to discuss the current state of Middle East tensions. General Kellogg highlighted two significant issues: the prisoner exchange involving Russia and the potential for direct conflict between Iran and Israel.
On the prisoner exchange, General Kellogg noted that while it's positive to see Americans returning home, it remains unclear what concessions were made to Russia. He emphasized that any deal with President Putin likely involved significant bargaining, and while the immediate impact may be minimal, the long-term consequences are yet to be seen.
The conversation then shifted to Iran's aggressive stance following the assassination of a Hamas official. General Kellogg stressed the importance of the U.S. taking a firm stand in support of Israel. Drawing parallels to the 1973 Yom Kippur War, he advocated for a strong, unequivocal message from the Biden administration, similar to the support President Nixon extended to Israel. He urged the U.S. to provide Israel with the necessary military support to counter threats from Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, and other adversaries.
General Kellogg also expressed concerns about the alignment of global adversaries like Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea, suggesting that the U.S. needs stronger presidential leadership to address these concerted challenges. He criticized the current administration's approach, arguing that a clear, forceful strategy is essential to maintain global stability and protect American interests.
