New Report: FY27 NDAA as Blueprint for Rebuilding America’s Arsenal of Freedom
Washington, DC – The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) today released a new expert insight outlining how the Fiscal Year 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (FY27 NDAA) can strengthen America’s defense industrial base, expand opportunities for workers and secure critical supply chains, and ensure the United States maintains the military superiority needed to protect the homeland against our adversaries long term.
The report explains that military dominance requires not just advanced weapons systems, but the ability to modernize and produce those systems quickly and to scale. After a year of focusing on increased military readiness, the next phase must focus on rebuilding the industrial strength needed to fully equip and support American troops and missions.
“Over the last year, the Trump administration has worked to restore the military’s focus on mission readiness, lethality, and recruiting standards. Now we must ensure that our superior forces have the industrial support needed to fight and win,” said Robert Wilkie, AFPI Co-Chair of American Security. “The arsenal of freedom that secured past American victories was built by American workers, American industry, and American resolve. The FY27 NDAA is the opportunity to demonstrate this greatness again, and show our adversaries that the United States will always invest in the military and economy necessary to preserve peace through strength.”
The FY27 NDAA, AFPI asserts, should not be viewed simply as a defense authorization bill, but as a blueprint for restoring America’s industrial strength, military readiness, and long-term strategic dominance. Read the full report here.
