Trump Administration Enacts or Advances Over 86% of America First Agenda in First 100 Days
A President Who Keeps His Promises
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) today announced that over 86% of the federal policies outlined in its landmark America First Agenda policy book have been advanced or enacted, in whole or in part, by the Trump Administration in its first 100 days.
The sweeping alignment represents one of the most rapid and comprehensive adoptions of a policy agenda in modern American political history — and reflects the enduring power of the America First movement to connect with the values and concerns of everyday Americans.
“President Trump has kept his promises. His administration’s speed and clarity in acting on these priorities is not just impressive — it is historic,” said AFPI's interim CEO Greg Sindelar. “The America First Agenda was always rooted in the needs of real people, not the whims of Washington. What we are seeing now is the natural result of a movement that is aligned with the public, led by conviction, and governed with urgency.”
Originally released by AFPI as a draft in April 2022, the America First Agenda was introduced at the AFPI Policy Summit in Atlanta, Georgia, where former Speaker of the House and current AFPI Board Member Newt Gingrich stood before a packed room of conservative leaders, held the agenda book in the air, and declared: “This... could be one of the things historians say helped save Western civilization.”
Later in July 2022, the America First Agenda was finalized as President Trump returned to Washington for the first time post-presidency to keynote the first-ever America First Agenda Summit.
Today, over 86% of its 196 federal policy recommendations have already been enacted or advanced — either through legislation, executive action, or administrative guidance. These reforms span the full breadth of American life, from energy independence to economic revival to restoring order at the southern border. Select America First policy wins include:
- Securing the Border: A full-scale restart of wall construction, re-instatement of Remain in Mexico, and sweeping new asylum limits
- Restoring Economic Strength: Aggressive deregulatory action, expanded energy production, and pro-growth tax policy renewals
- Defeating the Cartels: A nationwide crackdown on illegal immigration, targeting cartels and criminals for deportation, and strengthened military involvement in immigration enforcement
- Defending Parental Rights: Action to defund schools that withhold information from parents and support school choice expansion
- Rebuilding U.S. Manufacturing: Stronger buy-American rules and reshoring incentives across federal agencies
“From the beginning, our founding chair and current Secretary of Education, Linda McMahon, said it best: ‘If you get the policies right, then the politics follow,’” said Jenn Pellegrino, AFPI’s Chief Spokesperson. “We are proud of the momentum already achieved—and we are just getting started. The road ahead is clear: build on this foundation and lay the groundwork for an America First century.”
