Braydon Ashfeld serves as a policy analyst for American Values at AFPI, focused on advancing policy initiatives rooted in core American principles. Before joining AFPI, Ashfeld gained experience on Capitol Hill, interning for Majority Whip Tom Emmer before going on to serve in the United States Senate supporting and contributing to the implementation of federal policy.
Ashfeld is a graduate of Augustana University, where he earned dual degrees in government & international affairs and business communications. During his time on campus, he served as vice president of both the Turning Point USA chapter and the College Republicans, leading efforts in civic engagement, political organization, and student outreach. He also studied abroad in Sevilla, Spain, where he focused on European Union governance and international political dynamics.
Originally from Minnesota, Ashfeld developed a deep appreciation for competition through hockey, which played a central role in his upbringing. He remains active on the ice, in the gym, and values time spent outdoors reflecting on the beauty of God’s creation.
