Garrett Greene
Attorney, Center for Litigation
Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens.
- George Washington
Garrett Greene is an Attorney at the America First Policy Institute’s Center for Litigation, where he fights to restore fundamental constitutional rights and defend against government overreach. A proud sixth-generation Texan, Garrett works to preserve the constitutional principles and traditions that have guided America since its founding while championing federalism and limited government. Before joining AFPI, Garrett served as Special Counsel in the Texas Attorney General’s Special Litigation Division, where he led landmark constitutional and administrative law challenges on behalf of the state. His victories include blocking the Biden-Harris Administration’s unlawful mass "parole in place" program for certain alien spouses and alien stepchildren of U.S. citizens, halting radical Title IX regulations that redefined biological sex, stopping federal rules that imposed gender ideology on Texas’s foster care system, and securing a critical injunction blocking the ATF’s illegal “Engaged in the Business” rule from infringing the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding gun owners. He has also authored influential amicus briefs supporting presidential authority to address the unprecedented invasion at the southern border.Garrett earned his J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law, where he served as Comment Editor for the St. Mary’s Law Journal and holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He and his wife, MiMi, live in New Braunfels, Texas, with their two dogs. They both serve as catechists at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and enjoy exploring the Texas Hill Country. Above all, Garrett remains unwavering in his fight to defend the Constitution, protect American families, and restore the limited government our founders envisioned.
