Erica McCue serves as deputy director of regional communications at AFPI, acting as a central communications hub for AFPI’s state chapter network. She equips leaders with messaging strategy, media products, and brand guidance to advance the America First agenda at the state level and amplify wins nationally.
Before joining AFPI, McCue served as events director at the Texas Public Policy Foundation for four years, where she provided leadership in planning and executing the foundation’s flagship policy, legislative, and donor-facing initiatives. She successfully executed more than 75 high-impact policy and fundraising events annually, including multi-day conferences, legislative briefings, donor summits, awards dinners, and issue-based forums that advanced policy priorities and strengthened stakeholder engagement. She also collaborated with Governor Abbott’s team to implement the largest school choice program in the country.
McCue attended Florida International University and is proud of her Cuban heritage. She lives in Texas with her husband, Zach, and their daughter.
