Jackson Mejia
Fellow, Office for Fiscal and Regulatory Analysis
Jackson Mejia serves as a visiting fellow in the Office for Fiscal and Regulatory Analysis at AFPI. He is an incoming assistant professor of economics at the University of Texas at Austin in the School of Civic Leadership. Mejia is completing his Ph.D. in economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Minnesota. Previously, he served in the White House Council of Economic Advisers, working primarily on macroeconomic issues. His research is in public finance and macroeconomics, with a focus on the evaluation and design of tax and fiscal policy.
