There's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo... and it's worth fighting for.
- J.R.R. Tolkien
Raised in America’s “Last Frontier,” Sarah Heath embodies the pioneering spirit of Alaska, grounded in the values of patriotism, duty, faith, and family. She holds a degree in Business Finance from the University of Alaska Anchorage and a Juris Doctorate from Texas Wesleyan School of Law in Fort Worth.
After law school, Sarah returned to Alaska and served in the administrations of Governors Sean Parnell and Bill Walker. She helped launch the Matanuska Valley Governor’s Office—Alaska’s fastest-growing area—and led its operations as Executive Director. In that role, she worked on a wide range of investigations and policy initiatives including agriculture, corrections, the National Guard, criminal justice, mining rights, the military and veterans' affairs.
A founding member of the Mat-Su Opioid Task Force and the Alliance to Stop Human Trafficking in Alaska (ASHTA), Sarah has been active in efforts to combat exploitation. She was honored with the Mat-Su Women of Influence Award. She later founded her own law firm and volunteers as a pro bono attorney to nonprofits dedicated to ending sex trafficking and protecting children.
Sarah cherishes time with her daughter and her extended family. In her free moments, she enjoys exploring Alaska’s mountains and coastline, baking, fishing, studying history, and traveling.
