Sarah Sims

Sarah Sims serves as executive director of AFPI’s Florida state chapter.

Previously, Sims was government affairs and client relations director at a consulting practice, advising national and statewide clients on legislative, business, and economic development matters. She has extensive experience navigating the Florida Legislature, state agencies, and regulatory bodies. Earlier in her career, Sims worked as a campaign manager and campaign finance consultant, including leading a state house race, and began her career as a legislative aide to State Representative Bob Rommel.

In addition to her professional experience, Sims has been actively involved in workforce and leadership development initiatives, serving as program director for Florida’s Women in Energy Leadership Forum.

A fifth-generation Floridian, Sims currently resides in Florida’s beautiful state capital, Tallahassee. Sims attended Florida State University, where she studied political science. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two golden retrievers, fishing, and cheering on the Florida State Seminoles.
